Don't get your knickers in a knot!

Once you have treated yourself to a set of lingerie from Lovable, you will want to keep it in pristine condition. Special care is needed when washing your fine lingerie and if you follow the care instructions below, it will help keep your lingerie beautiful for longer.

A little known, but universal truth is that you should never machine wash your precious underwear delicates! A washing machine's vigorous washing actions, heat from the dryer and harsh detergents can damage your Lovable garments and lessen their effectiveness to beautifully and comfortably support. We highly recommend hand washing all of our lingerie in gentle soap flakes, hand washing liquid or a neutral shampoo. The care instructions on the garment tell you how best to wash it. The care instructions on a mixed fibre label is of course based on the most sensitive fibre - to be absolutely sure.

Hand Wash Only
Machine washing causes elastane to degrade quicker and elastane is important for keeping that firm support. Plus, our delicate laces and embroideries will last longer if washed gently by hand.

Do Not Dry Clean
To avoid the elastane degrading.

Do Not Bleach
This will damage the delicate fabrics and affect the colours.

Do Not Iron
Ironing will ruin the embroideries and lace.

Do Not Tumble Dry
Tumble drying causes the elastane to degrade and could damage the delicate lace and detailing of your bra.

Other Tips and Tricks!

• Wash dark, light and coloured fabrics separately. Wash hosiery separately as bra hooks and fastenings can catch.
• Try not to wear light lingerie under dark clothes or denim as this can dull and dye fabrics instantly.
• Perfumes and deoderants are very difficult to remove if they accidentally stain a bra. To avoid staining your bra, spray your favourite perfume on your body before getting dressed and wait until your skin is completely dry.
